    Our 3rd pairing RHD is Chatfield. Coghlan and DeHaan are swapping in on Left side. Canes would take a depth LHD + 2nd/3rd for Bear

    Going to need more than that for Carolina to retain, and you'll need more than that for Carolina to take back 2 million in AHL fodder in Holl.

    Holl is not a bad defensemen. He makes mistakes that infuriate leafs fans but he’s had very solid numbers in a top four role for 3 years now. He’s just better meant for a bottom pairing role and he probably needs a fresh start

    In Carolina, he's at least D man number 8. He's not better than Bear and Bear is number 8. When Pacioretty comes back in December, someone has to go. That makes him AHL filler. It makes no sense.

    I hope Bear works out for the Canucks, but my guess here is that everyone loses out here unless the 5th round dart throw works out.
