we can buy out murray in the off season for 600k. this trade is horrible for the leafs, we give the best player and have to add picks?. boeser is damaged goods and we dont want that

demko rathbone = marner yikes. if you want a example for demko value. check the andersen trade, they had the same stats.

This is a joke right? Has to be.

Tor paying a 2nd to move Murray is the only evaluation that is even close to being accurate.

Leafs will not be buying out Murray. Yes it is only $687,500 next year but in 2024 (when Matthews/Nylander) need new deals, the buyout cap hit jumps to $2,000,000. Dubas/Pridham will not have that on the books. Matt will either come back healthy and help this team out, retire on LTIR, or the Leafs pay to move him out.
