Ryan Tverberg is not talked about nearly enough. His speed, hands, and scoring ability are very exciting. Not too sure what we have in him, but he is paying dividends early as a 7th round pick. Not sure if it's just his funky last name, but he reminds me a bit of Carter Verhaeghe. Hopefully we don't make the same mistake twice. Between him and Lisowsky, Dubas has pulled off some magic in the 7th round.

He sure has hope, though I don't have that falth in older college players making difference makers in the NHL.

I like him but man hes probs trade bait which sucks. Like other than Knies I dont think any other prospect is safe without a medical reason (Amirov and Robertson)

Nice to see Kressler reemerging as a decent prospect. Seemed to lose his identity last season. I don't think we really have anything there, but it's nice to see him succeed

By no means is McMann a prospect (26 years old) but I would love to see him get some games with the Leafs. Could be a great 4th line energy guy.

Ellis is so fun. Came onto my radar during the Traverse City tournament where he was easily one of our best players there. Didn't realize he could get so much torque on the shot, that was an absolute laser

Love the play from Steeves to take a big hit to make a play and the finish from McMann. He looks like he hasn’t skipped a beat coming back from injury. Proving why he deserved that ELC

LHD who plays right, puts up points, brings decent defensive coverage, and is physical. He may have passed Rafai as the most likely ELC candidate

Kinda hope they both get an ELC. It’s pretty slim in terms of defensive prospects after Niemela. Having both those two and if Villeneuve continues to improve will only strength the group.

I’m still pretty high on Koster also.

Excuse my intrusion, but how do you all feel about about Alex Steeves?

I watch a fair share of Syracuse Crunch games, and this season outside of Marchenko (CBJ) Steeves has perhaps been the most impressive AHL prospect I've seen. Just wondering what the current Toronto fan opinion is on him.

IMO I'm surprised he didn't make the Leafs in October. Not that I don't like the Leafs current LWers, but thought Steeves had the NHL genes to be 3rd or 4th line winger. Next season the Leafs might lose Kerfoot and Engvall to UFA (maybe Bunting too) so think Steeves has to be a cost efficient Leaf next season. Hopefully LWersBunting, Knies, Robertson and Steeves are all NHL ready.
Marlies are a good team, but realistically on Steeves might be the only true NHL forward prospect on the Marlies.

Hey Bud, it was no intrusion. Always welcome thoughtful insight from everyone

I'm a huge fan. He was a real standout in the preseason and is a very versatile player. He'll likely find himself as a regular in the NHL sooner than later

He came out of no where literally. I knew he was a big NCAA free agent but I didnt know how he would translate. So far he has looked very good in the AHL, NHL he was a bit rough but hey first game and Campbell was in the air with pucks. I would explore a callup at somepoint and with how things are going with injuries yeah he might be up soon

What they already said.

The biggest knock on him this year is his 5v5 play (most of his points have come on the PP) Not that it is bad, would just like to see more finish at 5v5.

Also, as Kyle Cushman has pointed out, he is more of a dump and chase guy, not something the Leafs like their guys to do. He what’d to see him carry the puck in more efficiently before taking the next step.

IMO Steeves needs to look at Trevor Moore and copy that.

I like following you updates on with the Lightning.

How has Tyson Feist looked? Thought that was a sneaking good AHL deal

Haven't seen much of him and he hasn't left any lasting impressions (good or bad).

Theres too many defensemen in Syracuse. Myers showing up doesn't help and playing time will become an even rarer commodity if Fleury ever makes it there.

Lisowsky with a two point night (goal and a assist)

He went undrafted last year but someone I hope they look at next year is his teammate Egor Sidorov. His defensive play is a little less than desired but has an elite shot.
