These teams aren’t a good matchup. The Isles seem to finally have stabilized again with their current Top 4 defensemen. Even if Marner would look great on Barzal’s wing, it would cost them one of their three best defensemen, all of which are crucial to our success.

Doesn’t matter what the value is, I don’t see these teams making a Marner-centered deal.

Then you don't get Marner. It's that simple. He is not some expendable player, he is our best penalty killer, our best playmaker, and our second best player in general. He is a key part of this team, and without him the Leafs are FAR worse

This trade would make the leafs better. Pulock would become the leafs best defenseman (by far) and Wahlstrom is a stud who's emerging as a top line winger. Beauvillier is also a good 2nd line wing.

If you're getting Marner, Leafs would want Dobson for sure. 1 for 1 imo is not enough for Marner.
Marner is one of the best RWs in the league and effective on both the PP and PK.

the isles wouldn't trade dobson for Marner straight up. An elite #1 RHD is worth more than a top winger.
