Description

I'm an optimist, if we can't right the ship in time and look to be sellers I would be just as stoked to get one of Bedard or Michkov. Either player could be with the team next year. With Boldy, Snuggerrud and these hypothetical trades Miroshnichenko and Marner coming. We'd be right back in the hunt in the next two seasons. Curious what kind of response I'm going to get from Toronto fans. If ROR signs a 6x6 extension before hand would you be interested?

No reasonable Leafs fan (they may be a small % of the fanbase) would be interested in that Marner trade, even with ROR extended.

Also, if they are after Bedard, why not just trade all those guys for 2023 1sts? Maybe they land 3 OV, and can move up if they are offering the 11, and 12th picks too for example.

I'm not a WSH fan but I think it is a bad trade for WSH.

Oof, this is a bad trade for Washington. Miroshinichenko is likely unavailable in trades currently due to his health status and his career relation to Ovechkin (reportedly Ovi has been mentoring Miro for a while), and I would expect Washington to instead target Tarasenko in free agency rather than in a trade. Perhaps a different prospect would get the job done, but MacLellan has seemed skittish in regards to moving picks and top prospects, which would likely prevent this trade from even being considered.
