Muzzin is injured and his season and/or career may be over. Had he been healthy, he wouldn't have been dealt anyways. Not sure why LA would be interested in him at 5m, when they are about to face a cap crunch potentially, and there are younger and cheaper options available too.

Yep, and that's why he's no one would want him. Op placed him in the lineup. He might waive if he is LTIRetired but doubt the Leafs ask him to since he's a leader and liked on the roster. He can still be involved even if he can't play. Paying his salary won't be an issue.

Why is LA essentially getting paid to move up 20 spots in the draft by giving up a top-6 player in Moore on a budget contract, taking on Muzzins bad contract (which will be brutal if he plays next season), Walker who is absolutely serviceable for prospects (an area the Kings aren’t in need for)?

Wuzzin without any retention or assurance that he won’t play next season, you’d have to pay the Kings a late 1st.

Moore is doing excellent with Danault on the second line, he’s on a budget contract and likely also worth a late first.

Walker has gone on here for anything close to a second or third.

Just adding those values up, how are the Kings not getting fleeced here?
