Canucks easily say no. Toronto doesn’t have good enough pieces to get Horvat

Well, as a Leafs fan... I'd do it.
Then probably flip Connor Garland at the draft for a better first round pick.

Sorry this is horrid for the Leafs. Garland and Horvat maybe better than Jarnkrok and Kerfoot, but not so much as to give up a 1st and 2nd and Niemela.. And no thank you to having Garland at 4.9m for the next three full seasons starting in 2023 or his addition cap this season.
Again why do CF fans think centre and wing are such needed positions that the Leafs would be spending assets to acquire this season?
We'll see what Horvat gets if he is traded this season. But betcha he won't get nearly as much as posted.

Not even close.

Bo Horvat ($2,750,000 retained) > Topi Niemela+2023 1st round pick (TOR)+2024 2nd round pick (TOR).

Conor Garland > Alexander Kerfoot+Calle Jarnkrok+Joey Anderson.

Neither trade is remotely close.

Only piece missing from this trade is the legendary Jeremy Bracco.

Are you trying to imply that Horvat and Garland are only a minor upgrade from Kerfoot and Jarnkrok? 😂😂😂

I'm sure Horvat will go back to his 60 point a season pace...despite having PP time. Kerfoot will get his 35 points despite very limited PP time. (he had 50 points last season0 (PS, I think Kerfoot has played well this season)
Jarnkrok and his 30 points at 2.1m, 3rd liner, seems to be fair value, compared to 50 points, 4,9m Garland who plays more offensive minutes.
Seems like a high premium for the Leafs to give a 1st, 2nd and Niemela for Horvat. But as I wrote above, Leafs really don't need aid at centre or wing. If they have assets to spend it might be for Dman or goalie.
Just seems to be another post, where the a square peg trying to fit into a round whole.
Please, would want love to see trades where Horvat is traded to team that will need him. Will he get as much as 1st, 2nd and good prospect? Dunno, but I gotta think there are better fits for him rather than the Leafs.

I mean, if you’d like to point out the powerplay time discrepancy between Horvat and Kerfoot you also have to acknowledge that Garland is one of the leagues best producers on 5-5.
