Also saw that you bought at Logan Millioux. I think he has matured enough to get a second chance, even though what he did was wrong.

Kaako is teetering on being a bust at 2nd overall.

Trading away roster players with retention, and 2x 1st round picks for him is an excessive overpay.

I would put Drouin on that boat before Dvorak! He hasnt put the points, but the guy is consistent and playing the right way! He could play better of course, but I dont hate the way he plays

Hockey isn't just about points. Besides he had like 4-5 posts, we might have been saying 50 point pace instead.

i have a sweet spot for drou and his contract is also up this summer, less pressing that we banish him immediately. 4.5 for a 3c is just sucky especially with term like dvo has. i dont have a problem with his game or production but the contract doesnt work for me

When you were drafted as a high end scoring talent... points do matter.

When you name 4-6 forwards on the team and say "those are the better guys", then Kakko is outside the top-6, which makes him a mid-tier guy.

Again, making him nowhere near worth salary retention on 2 players and 2 1st rd picks.

It's true. Hockey isn't all about points. Look at Bergeron. He still would be a great player without the points.
But I still think it's a overpay

Overpay for Kakko, but I wouldn’t move him. Genuinely has been one of the better players this year in the top 6. Plus we’ve got no depth at RW, so he’s more important to us than he would be to another team. Kravtsov isn’t ready for the top 6 and Laf is the only other option and he’s playing on his offside.
