If they 50% retain on Domi then the 2nd makes sense , if not maybe a 3rd instead? But I Don't know if Toronto could take on 3mil without cap going back.

Domi would bring some snarl to the Leafs and he tends to produce well when he has skilled linemates. The thing is a year ago Domi wanted to sign with the Leafs and would have done so for significantly less than the Hawks wound up giving him but Dubass passed on him then.

They can take on up to 5.2M at the moment.

This isn’t what I’d be looking for I think draft picks are objectively a better choice to go after (maybe we get lucky and someone offers us a first 😉) but this just ain’t it
