23' first would be the very first thing the hawks ask for in a Kane trade. There's no way around it.

Theres 2 absolutely major issues with this trade.
1st. The rangers do not have the cap for a trade with just 50% retained on kane. With the amount of players we had to put on IR, and call ups, we burnt through cap. We would need a 2nd team to retain.
2nd. assuming you do that first trade, you don't have the cap for the 2nd trade. You're also destroying the rangers depth, so that a single injury in the playoffs ends up with us playing guys from the AHL in our middle 6.

As an outsider, I'm surprised no improvement for the backup goalie was included.
