So they should spend more assets to dump cap while also gutting their depth to add a 10M winger? This isn't EA Sports. It literally cost an NHL caliber 23 year old RD to dump 1 year of a ppg winger last summer. So not only will it cost assets to move a decent #4 defenseman who wants to stay in Calgary in Zadorov it will also cost assets to dump Toffoli who has 13 points so far this year. Then on top of that they loose an NHL ready top end prospect coming in on an ELC, another top 4 Dman, and a pick in the original trade.

So no, they can not re-sign him
