7M for a 3C is a bad investment

Horvat will get 8M+ in UFA.

Zero chance of Bo Horvat signing for 7 x7M try more like 7 x 8M to 7 x 8.5M

Simply play him on the wing if Jack and Nico are healthy

He has never even sniffed a point per game in his career until this year, where he’s shooting almost double his career average.

A team giving him 8M would be a horrible, horrible mistake.

Kadri only makes 7M, for god’s sake.

It's not the worst fit in the world, play him on Jack's wing and take his faceoffs. It's essentially what Haula is doing right now, but obviously Horvat is a big upgrade on Haula and has a great shot.

Just play Mercer or Sharangovich at 3C ....

But at $7.5 million a year, maybe best to put towards a wing.
Tarasenko, Bertuzzi, Meier, Reinhart, etc (and maybe have cap space to spare).

Or add a big 3C/4C. Like another Haula, but bigger.

I wouldn’t spend 7M on horvat in any situation, but the aversion to playing centers on the wing when Jack and Nico are healthy is wild because that’s functionally half our roster to begin with.
