Carter has a full NMC. It can't happen without his consent and judging by how little he wanted his family to move, I can't see him doing so again.

What about reuniting with Sutter, Lewis & Lucic for another run at the Cup together!?

His Family doesn’t have to move, especially when it’s just for another year or two before he retires.

From the interviews he had post LA trade to Pittsburgh it was a very difficult move. The pens talked with him and LA for months to get the deal done. I think at this point in his career he just wants to play hockey, try to win, and be with his family. Being away from his family is probably a no go. He has his kids at the facilities all the time too. His entire family was a Pens sponsored PWHA today. Cool scene.

Not sure you can trade Kylington right now with all the uncertainty as to whether he's even going to play this year.

And if he is coming back, do you want to be subtracting two pieces off the current roster in Dube and Kylington?

I love Timo Meier and think he is the perfect fit for this Flames team, so if that's what it takes I would do it. But I would try to make it work without including at least one of those guys (probably try and keep Kylington if you think he'll be able to play again this year).

For me the best starting offer for Meier revolves around the 2023 1st and Matt Coronato's rights. Then you adjust from there as needed.
