Don't start sharing conclusive evidence, this guy hates that! smile He just likes to spin his bad opinion as fact and address people with condescending tones in replies...sign of weakness in his opinion obviously.

my favorite part was when he said "recent is pretty relative" when the only comp he could find anywhere near a potential Kane trade was from 2008 - oh, and when he completely ignored the fact that the very trade he brought in as a comp featured a future 1st and a player picked in the 1st round 8 months before the trade happened.

First off, pronman is wrong more often than he’s right. That’s the nature of the business, but his word is far from gospel. He also didn’t exactly heap praise on him. He said he was talented with a so-so compete level. I haven’t said anything that conflicts with that.

he literally called him a top-6 prospect, how much further are you going to push these goddamn goalposts

I dunno, why don't you tell me where in those quotes it backs up any of the garbage you're trying to peddle? Calling him a "boom or bust" while talking about his larger role with his new team doesn't really sound like a "throw-in" to most people, but I'm sure you'll find some way to keep moving the goalposts further and further away as every point you try and bring up is easily kicked back at you.

Boom or bust could be said of virtually any player not in the nhl.

How about this:
For Patrick Kane
Bruins first round pick in 2024
Jake zboril - highly talented player. Top 15 pick in the epic 2015 draft. Shown flashes of real good hockey at the nhl level, but struggles to get consistent ice time on a very deep Boston blue line. Boom or bust acquisition
Jakub lauko - some version of the same

Done deal right?

Of course not.

When have I ever said that a first and a former first is any sort of issue?

And you can say that about just about every draft pick with a pulse. That’s why they were drafted

Classic way to avoid the fact that you called Owen Tippett a "throw in" and were proven wrong: deflect to focusing on one specific part that still doesn't discount the fact that Philadelphia didn't regard him as just a throw-in the way Florida looked at the two AHL guys they got. those goalposts gotta be in a different friggin' county by now

How was I proven wrong? Was pronman in the room for trade negotiations?

Guys are drafted because they have potential to be nhl players. This isn’t news

Were you? Can you conclusively back up *anything* you've been saying? Were *you* in the room so you can back this up? Or are you just going to continue deflecting the multiple different outfits saying that Tippett was a major part of the return for the Flyers?

Yes, you're right, every single one of the 224 players drafted every year is projected to be a top 6 forward, or a top pair D, or a starting goalie. every single one of those 224 players!

Couple things here:
1. I don’t think I’m going out on a limb saying that the 23 year old who had been demoted to the NHL was a throw in. Usually when a guy gets looks in three seasons at the NHL level, and gets demoted, that’s a real bad sign.
2. Has any team ever made a trade and told reporters, “oh, that guy? We didn’t give a crap about him. I thought he had kind of a cool name, so i figured, what the heck?” Of course not. Whether or not it’s true all the verbiage out of a team acquiring a player is that they like him, he had good tools and blah blah blah.

Pronman said he had the tools of a top-six, i didn’t see him project anything at the time of the trade.
