As a Caps fan I'd hate to see McM go because I know whoever get him will actually play him and he'll turn into the 60+ point center he can, but I love Timo so I'd definitely consider this trade. Probably take out the 3rd if we are adding Suz. Dude reminds me of Burakovsky.

Agree about the 3rd. I was a big Suzdalev fan before the draft even. We have to get quality for Timo and I think Caps could use his skillset since Mantha fell off a cliff.

We need Meier. But This is tough but fair. Nicely done. But I think we could decline. I think. Retain would help. That’s a tough proposal

Mantha is still quite very good, but like McM, the coach refuses to play him with skill. He's consistently playing with 3rd liners and gets no PP time. Dude could be tearing it up.

He has an excellent shoot on the right circle. And isn’t picky with the pass like ovi is imo. On the pp. I wanna see more from him in the minutes he gets because he is capable of it. If Milano can be affective and promoted up the lineup Mantha should.

I'm just glad i presented a trade that's mostly fair, helps both teams and makes us think as opposed to abrupt "caps decline".

I doubt Timo is moved. If the Sharks are willing to commit to Hertl, they should also commit to Timo as a centerpiece for the rebuild. When Bordeleau, Eklund and Robins make the move up next year and a high pick in 23 they'll need Timo's leadership and ability. Unless Grier is blown away by a massive offer.

Thoughts on the caps sending their 2024 1st instead of the 2023 1st? I’m very hesitant to trade that pick for this year. I’d honestly be willing to trade the 2024 1st and add a 2023 2nd just to hold onto this years pick.

I'd still do it. The centerpiece for SJ is Suz and McM
