Like honestly, would you trade Jesper Bratt for that?

Ruff just told Boqvist to buy an apartment in Jersey, I doubt he'd be trade bait

Timo is being reported to be worth less than DeBrincat on the trade market.

Ty Smith lived with the franchise player. I think it’s more of a you’re sticking around the NHL suggestion from Ruff to Bo than him saying he’s untouchable

I feel NJ should go for a top 6 wing with bite. Konecney or Bertuzzi make sense as they are both a deturrent and can score

Very different. Rookies and callups live with roster players. Roster players have their own apartments.

So you wouldn’t trade Bratt for that I’m assuming?

Absolutely not, since Bratt isn’t known to be on the market. It’s a poor comparison, and there’s isn’t reporting of Bratt’s actual price like there is Timo’s

A GM saying he will listen on all players doesn’t mean they are actually going to be traded, especially when they are under team control and a star in their prime.

In no way they're comparable
Meier was on the trade market, Bratt was never
Bratt is better, younger, cheaper, lower QO

They are willing to listen to offers, doesn’t mean he’s on the move. Both RFAs both in mid 20s. Better is very much debatable, Meier had more points including 9 more goals last year and plays a tougher power game.

Meier’s current value has already been reported though. Frank Serevalli has outright said to expect less than what the DeBrincat return was for Chicago.
Eklund reported today that there’s a 90% chance he moves

You are still using a poor comparable to make your point

I'm just waiting until he gets traded because I'm almost certain you're going to be thoroughly let down at the return.

Cant wait until he goes for more than devils fans think he's worth which is apparently isn't much.

What leads you to believe he will drive more than DeBrincat?

Likely a team with a 7th overall in the draft isn’t trading for him, so the first will be later. That will drive up the rest of the pieces in the trade i.e. top prospect

A team with a potential 7th overall pick probably isn’t trading for him, yea. But the expectation is that his return will be less than pick#7, and #39 and a future 3rd. For Meier I went less than DeBrincat, and a little more than Fiala, with a 1st rounder that probably falls in the latter half of the draft, a B prospect, and an NHLer who was recently one of our more highly touted prospects.
