You ruined the trade with Ottawa when you included Ostapchuk.

Ottawa declines.

Try again.

What prospect would you be willing to give?

Edmundson can play but he is a cap dump, albeit a smaller one than Zaitsev.

Since Ottawa is paying a 2nd to swap Zaitsev for Edmundson, I would not be willing to give up any prospects.

That being said, Ottawa needs upgrades at RD, not LD.

Edmundson would be our 4th best LD behind Chabot, Sanderson and Brannstrom while not being much of an upgrade over Nick Holden.

He's not a good fit in Ottawa.

Sorry.

Edmundson is not a cap dump. He is way better than Holden and branstrom, who I believe isnt doing anything that Chabot or Sanderson cant do. Edmundson would be a solid third pair defenseman in Ottawa, and he can easily play top 4. He is a great mentor and that what Ottawa's defense need, because they dont really have that Maybe a right d-man would be better for Ottawa, I agree. But I don't think that this trade is crazy. Maybe Ostapchuk is too good to be added here, but another prospect being added wouldnt be crazy.

Ott does nothing including Edmonson because he is LD, just does fit in any way. only RD

Jackets decline. No interest in Norlinder or Armia even with the retention. I would rather keep Roslovic and see if he can rebound.
