Explain the Islanders trade
Bailey is a Cap dump & Wilde is in the echl
Yuck

Other trades are fine,
but i think i wanna keep Power on pair2 & not break up Samuelsson & Dahlin

Was at the Amerks/Monsters game last night and they could use some bulk on the back end.

Disregard d-pairings as i didn't edit.

I'd take Bailey over Olofsson any day of the week.

Marcus foligno isn't Available. Krebs alone isn't getting you Minnesota 1c in Hartman! Buffalo fans have been told a million times Minnesota isn't trading foligno, nor is he realistic

Even if you’re an Olofsson hater, he’s on pace for 40goals, and that has value
Bailey is a Cap dump

So not only should they be giving us an asset to take Bailey,
getting nothing back of value (Bailey is a Cap dump, so no value) just doesn’t make much sense at all

I get that some people hate Olofsson & Mittelstadt
But if we’re gonna trade them, we at least need to get somewhat decent value back

Fine on Foligno. No need to get testy as he was thrown in there as a second choice.

What else do you want for Hartman?

Olofsson = 4EV Goals, 4PP goals, 3EN

He's a one-trick pony

Bailey is an all-around player who can dish as well as score and is effective 5v5

Sabres pass on the Islanders and Minnesota trades. Those lines are all over place, especially the d pairs

Oloffson and Middlestadt should have value tbh. Makes no sense to dump them.

With Bailey the isles best bet is trading him for a similarly overpriced defenseman.

Curious as to how "those lines all over the place" when three of them are presently intact and the "black hole" line is where new players were injected.

I explained the d-pairings.

Funny. Minnesota guy says they won't trade Hartman for Krebs alone and wants a first. You say that the "Sabres pass".

Agree on the Isles trade to an extent. Still like the idea of switching two-year contracts to bring in an all-around forward who contributes 5v5 much more than our PP specialist but perhaps more should be coming Buffalo's way.

Islanders trade is so bad for Buffalo. Both dudes are offense-first forwards with 2 years left on their deals, and Olofsson is already cheaper before you kick in the retention. Lou takes that trade every day of the week and twice on Sunday - it clears cap, and if anything upgrades the top 9 and the power play. Wilde is a non-asset that you can probably have for free if you really want (he's currently playing on the Coyotes' ECHL team if you wonder how much the Isles value him.)

Hartman had 1 year at 30 goals and is turning 30 im not buying high on that at all. Olofsson has 70% of his points at 5v5, the PP specialist thing has long been debunked, and his 5v5 numbers are not that bad, especially when you factor in Mittlestadt. Can they be higher, probably, but they have no reason to dump Olofsson, they should upgrade his line mates

Olofsson has struggled mightily 5v5 this season (23 gms, 4 EV goals, 4 PP goals, 3 EN) and has been dropped from the first pp unit. Some attribute those 5v5 struggles to his linemates, which has merit...to a point. Dude's got a deadly shot, problem is finding open ice, which is hard to do when your skating is average at best. He has one EV goal in his last 13 games (2 goals total) and is a minus-11 during that span.

Is the return too low for Buffalo? Yeah, but posting these trades and getting feedback gives me a better idea as to where players stand in the eyes of other people.
