As long as Demko is not the next Schneider, and Boeser lives up to his contract..

I'm upset that I'm not upset about this trade. We can't lose demko but this isn't a joke package.

My only addition would be to add Okposo and Myers and make Buffalo figure out how to pay one year of Myers.

I don't hate this, but I think it's a slight over payment for Buffalo. AS IT SITS. Last year this would be fair both ways. Or if both players regain form. This is really banking on them playing back to where they were not right now xD

Thats a no from buffalo. They don't need another winnger based on their roster and prospect pool. As well I doubt they move on from a blue chip goalie prospect who can provide cheap labor over the next few years.

Sabres need a defenseman much more then another winger.

Sabres will still have plenty of cap space to get another D man. Goaltending is an issue........Can't keep running a guy who's almost my age and a career back up out there, and UPL just isn't ready yet. And Boeser, though having an off year is a half decent cap hit that could flourish in their system. I think Olaffson will end up being the odd man out, Kerbs is fairly dispensible. Bryson is tough to give up, but he's a need for VAN and helps make this trade work

I agree with trying to resolve the goaltending issues. It's just the package I don't understand. Krebs is still developing, so why trade him when his value is low.
Trading Levi adds to the goalie issues in the organization. Bryson is a 5th or 6th Dman with minimal value.

Would rather trade for Demko only then add in a winger which drives up the price.

Sabres are 2 years from Cap hell. They should be targeting players with longer term contracts with lower cap hits.

But this is my thought:
Olafsson has 1 more year, Boeser 2. Olafsson is gonna want a big pay raise. Boeser is a known cap hit. Demko and Boeser make the team more competitive through this transition, and allow JJP, Quinn, Jost (if resigned) Cozens and others to develop. The forward prospects are deep and you can afford to move Krebs. It's not a long term risk, but the short term benefits are pretty significant.
BUF needs to start competing for a playoff spot. Your fans have waited long enough
