Matthews when healthy is a monster. This year and CJ mentioned it he's not 100% rn

But still last season 60 goals which hasn't happened since 2012

Back to back rocket trophy's along with the Hart and Lindsey sure Thompson is good but Matthews is the next stage

Gladly would pay more for the better player

Tage Thompson has gone from Star to Super Star over the past year. But Matthews is a generational scorer and player.

No disrespect to Thompson at all but clearly Matthews. Any team in the league would choose Matthews over Tage Thompson.

The fact that after this season Matthews had one year left at 11.6 and Thompson is locked up for 7 years at just of 7 is why Thompson is the better asset. Matthews is better, but not by enough to justify the difference in contract
