You think we can get more for CP55 or ROR or both? What would you do?

More for ROR? Lmao what? You wouldn't get Sandin alone let alone the rest of that package. The most O'Reilly gets at the deadline is a high pick + a b prospect. Not a young 2nd pair dman.

Not to be rude but you can get ****ed with that offer for the Leafs. If Rielly was in his prime and had a couple years left on his deal sure but not as a UFA at 31 and having a down year so far.

You act as though ROR is a nobody. He does have a cup where as TOR doesnt. ROR is excellent on faceoffs and honestly one of the hardest working players the blues have.
As far as Sandin goes Toronto took along time this offseason to get him signed and at time i heard that the relationship could be soured and Toronto wasnt willing to give him the icetime he wanted. Maybe they sorted it out? Hey at least i dont come in asking for Knies, Sandin, Robertson, and 2 1sts....or something completely absurb....

Leafs would pass. As for the other one, taking on two crap dumps (including one signed through next season) means yeah, that return is not tempting. But honestly, people need to get off this trade Parayko nonsense. It's tiring as hell.

You dont think CP55 is a liability not only on D but brings very little offense either? If he could put up 40 to 50 points it might be different.

No, Leddy is the liability. And offense isn't just about points. He needs a J Bo type partner so he can be the one rushing the puck up ice. Trying to put him with a puck mover who has issues in the zone just over taxes him.

Sorry that is silly scenario about Sandin. Whether he is sour or not, the Leafs have NHL control over him for this season and three season after this one. So what if ROR, or Krug, Or Binniington have Cups (and the Leafs don't) It's the here and now that counts. I'm not a big stats guy...but ROR has the third worse plus minus in the league. Certainly the Leafs aren't trading a top 4 Dman, their only RHD prospect Niemela , Robertson and a second for any rental third line centre.
The Edmonton trade. Oilers don't have the cap for Parayko (even if he waives). Seems already the eight year contract for 29 year Parayko looks like it might not age well.

Leafs wouldn't trade a top 4 Dman Sandin for 3C rental ROR on the Leafs straight up.

I know player value isn't all based on stats. But Sandin 9 points. ROR 14 points. Sandin plus 6, ROR minus 13.
So many remember ROR great half season and playoffs in Blues Cup winning year. But geez let's talk about the present.

So why do people say the Blues should trade for CHYCHRUN? He is far from JBO. I personally disagree as CP55 should be the stay at home guy. CP55 is constantly off the mark. He cant even hit the net with his shots.

I believe +/- can be missleading. In ROR case they had him paired with Kryou for a large part of the season which did NOT help....than he has been on the ice for a majority of the Emepty Net Goals

People say they should trade for Chych because they have misguided notions. Heh. And do me a favor: remind me of the time when Colt shined consistently playing with a puck mover. Almost all of his best times happened with J Bo, with Scandella, with Mikkola, with Gunnarson. It seems rather obvious to me.

sandin has been one of the best defensmen for the leafs and is sign to a cheap contract. no way they get rid of him for a 31 year old ufa

You know who else is great on face-offs and works hard? John Tavares. Who cares that O'Really has a cup, so does Pat Maroon. Toronto wasn't able to give Sandin the ice time he wanted because they had too many d, now that Muzzin is out long term and Reilly is out until January, Sandin has gotten his ice time and proven to be a top 4 d.
