Seriously doubt that Toronto makes a move this substantial given their current success and team chemistry.

Way too much for a pure rental, And other teams will easily beat the Leafs best offer.

Too much for the Leafs to give up for a 3rd line centre on the Leafs. Schenn doesn't help the Leafs by replacing any of the top 3 RHD,
Ridiculous for the Leafs to trade Minten, Timmins and a 1st rounder. Minten and Timmins seem to have long term futures with the Leafs

Its not that I don't think Horvat is worth that, but on Toronto he's going to be on the 2nd power play and likely plays less 5v5. Hes not going to be able to produce as much as he would in a place like Colorado.

Oh I think this is a year to make a big move. But this isn't it. Horvat would create a much more offensive 3rd line but one that would be worse defensively than we currently have. ROR would be the add in my opinion. Elite defensively and still good offensively. He would make TO utterly impossible to match up against. 3 elite defensive centres in Matthews, ROR and Kampf and an elite offensive centre in JT. How would you even matchup against them?

I would certainly pay the price for ROR (Robertson would be who I would hope to move though, not because I don't think he's good, but I don't think he'll get the opportunity he needs to take a step in TO. He would be best as the main trigger man on a line that also includes a heavy forechecker. But in TO he'll never be on a line without two of the big 4 unless he's in the bottom 6 and then he's just not a fit. Maximize his value by trading him.
