- Too much for Larkin
- Not enough for Bertuzzi
- Sunny probably gets more
- Maata is going to want more term
- No thanks on Jensen
- Horvat will probably get a crazy contract like that and I want Detroit to have no part of it If he's willing to sign here for 7.5 or less, fine (incredibly unlikely with the rumors swirling around of him looking for 9+)

Larkin's probably $8.5. I don't see Bert signing 2x4.25. Maybe a 1 year deal at 5-6, or someone else is going to give him 7x7.

Bert's going to get 7x7 or even 7x8 when all is said and done. At this point, I hope that's with someone else after they traded a king's ransom to the Wings to acquire him first.

Can I interest you in a big, physical, scoring winger who blocks shots with his hand? smile

I don't know why would anybody sign him to a such a big contract. He is a good player, but the problem is that he is always injured. What do you think about a long term contract similar than Hyman's / Nugent-Hopkins 8 years for 5,125,000-5,500,000?

I'm not saying 7x7 or 7x8 is what I think he SHOULD get, it's what I think he WILL get, because the market is stupid. To me personally, I don't like the idea of signing anyone to a deal longer than 5 years, but I realize the reality of the market and you WILL lose players if you're not willing to give them term. At this stage, I'm ready for the Wings to move on from him.

The "always injured" thing doesn't really hold weight, because he's had two freak injuries this year in broken hands which are not long-term concerns, and the back issue from a few years ago, is really a non-issue now, since he's had no problems with it since. It's not the same as a guy who has had multiple knee or shoulder injuries.
