can you imagine the trade threads if pulju was a leaf? they'd be saying it would cost robertson and a 1st to move him with FC coming back ant 50% retained

Let someone else who can actually re-sign him pay through the nose like that, teams who don't see him as a rental are going to drive the price way beyond rental value as is the case here.

To make Salary even out, EDM takes the same cap we take the same as Kerf would be making to get a much more physical but similarly sound defensive player

why does the salary need to even out? the Leafs are taking on 2 years extra in term and getting a guy who isnt as good, they should be getting extra on top of the trade not giving the oilers more value
