Yikes. I think this could be filed under worst case scenario for boston.

I don’t see Tarasenko getting that much.

Also, I’d be surprised to see Patrice back after this year. He barely made it back this year.

I would rather sign Pasta for $13m+ than either of those guys for $9m+

It would be an absolute shocker at this point if he doesn’t come back. Watch the interview he gave with Friedman. If there isn’t a cup or an injury, he’s most likely back.

Boston's window is another 1-2 years at the most, And then it shuts. So why would Bo Horvat commit long term with Boston? Outside of Lysell and Lohrei the Bruins prospect pool is pretty weak.

Bo Horvat 7 years @ $8,000,000

Vladimir Tarasenko 7 years @ $7,000,000 You're way too high on both players.

Not resigning Pasta would be a major mistake. Pasta > > > > > > > > > > Tarasenko.

So you decide to get older? And with huge money and term?

My god, you've become the sharks

Wouldn’t re-signing Pastrnak contradict what you just said?

Pastrnak has hinted that he may not want to play in Boston beyond this season, hence why he’s not re-signed here. That said, the Bruins would still be in “win now mode” and if the additions of Horvat and Tarasenko equal at least one Stanley Cup, then it’s all worth it in the end.

It’s based on Bergeron not certain or publicly stated his intentions on returning next year.

He came back this year on a sweetheart deal, I can’t imagine him/someone doing that in back to back years.

It’s not. I’m sure returning is a possibility and if wouldn’t surprise me if it happened, but he seems willing to look at all his options.
