I feel like what ducks fans want and what the management will do for comtois are two different things.

While I think Comtois upside is higher, struggling players in general command less value which probably makes this a fair and likely trade. Having two guys struggling forever won't fix anything so may as well take the chance that they work elsewhere.

Given that Klingberg's NTC expires in a couple of weeks, and Edmonton was HEAVILLY in on him this off season, I would be more inclined to believe that's what they were discussing.

Its possible Comtois and Pulljujarvi could both be involved in the trade, but I have my doubts it's one for one. We are strong on the right side in the near future but we are weak on the left.

Comtois also has at least been scoring this season, he is on a 24 goal pace over 82 games while Jesse is on pace for 3.

Haven't seen a NTC detail like that before, guessing he submits his 10-team NT list in January or did that have to already be submitted at the start of the season?

From what I understand, he submits the list before Jan 1. This was to ensure that he can go to a probable playoff team and got to see how the season was turning out through/near the midway point.
