Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Untouchable players - players who won’t be traded and are integral to the teams future

Overpayment required players - players not likely to be traded unless there’s a price that makes you go wow, he got that much in a trade.

Fair value players - players who could be traded at fair value or kept because they provide positive to the team but if the right trade came along for said player they would be moved.

No value players - player who currently have little to no value around the league as they have passed through waivers or are just depth players they everyone already has and can find easily.

Unmoverable players - Gudbranson’s contract sucks we’d have to pay to move him at this point so might as well keep him.

Goalies - Korpisalo is fair value, Tarosov is overpay required and Elvis is leaning toward unmovable but could also be a cap swap type trade (Pettersson or Binnington come to mind as player he could be traded for)

LTIRetired - Voracek’s career looks like it could be over due to concussion issues.

Prospects not listed - probably won’t be traded, as Columbus is still a rebuilder.

Picks - probably not going to be sending many picks out unless we are getting better picks in return.

Good breakdown. I would move Jenner to untouchable (for now), Roslovic and Kuraly to overpay (for now) and Bjork, Olivier and Bemstrom to fair value.

Bemstrom cleared waivers, he really doesn’t have much value right now, if any.

Bjork hasn't played enough to have much value, though I do like his game.

Oliver is a 4th line fighter, almost every team has at least one, so he doesn’t have much value.

Karuly is a 4th line center, a good one but still if someone offers a fair value trade for him you’d have to consider it with where the team currently sits.

Roslovic is lucky not to be in the Gudbranson unmovable category right now with his production or lack there of.

Jenner shouldn’t be untouchable with his age and the team make up, if someone is willing to overpay for him (like the Hagel trade last season) he should be traded.

"Not untouchable, just requires an overpay higher than Hagel" is a distinction without a difference, really.

No, if we get offered 2 1st round picks for Jenner I’d really hope Jarmo was smart enough to make that trade. Yeah, I know he’s the captain, and the standing 1c, but honestly he should be a 3c who has about 30 points a year. Though I will say he does play well with the the top end talent, but also relies on them to produce.

The bolded is a legitimate skill that should not be written off so easily. And trading him for two late lottery tickets would IMO be a massive loss and one that would set back rather than enhance the rebuild.
