Olofsson and Fitzgerald for Kapanen and 2 seconds

Created by: gretzkyghosts
Team: 2022-23 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 14, 2022
Published: Dec. 14, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Buffalo has done very well picking from the second round and with four picks in 2023 it could be interesting.
2020 Peterka
2019 no 2nd round pick
2018 Samuelsson
2017 Luukkonen
2016 Asplund
2015 traded Guhle +++ for Montour
2014 traded Lemieux +++ for Kane
2013 traded Compher +++ for O'Reilly
All but Guhle are NHL players

Maybe Buffalo could move up to get one of these defensemen from the first round:
20 th Cameron Allen RD
22nd Caden Price LD
28th Lukas Dragicevic RD
32nd Maxim Strbak RD

Possible defensemen available in next years second round.
Axel Sandin Pelikka RD
Theo Lindstein LD
David Reinbacher RD
Hunter Brzustewicz LD
Jakub Dvorak LD
Mikhail Gulyayev LD
https://www.lines.com/nhl/drafts/2023 has them all going 45 OA or sooner.
Aram Minnetian RD
Dmitri Simashev LD
Oliver Bonk RD
Luca Cagnoni LD
The last 4 are 49 OA or later

Jeramiah Crowe has done a wonderful job drafting.
If the Sabres could get two defensemen as good as Samuelsson or Peterka (obviously a player of his skills but a d-man) it could be very interesting

Another RHD. Just what the pens need lol. I got a better counter proposal that might help both teams. Dumo and a 2nd for Olofsson with the retention and Fitz without retention?

He was not expecting to hit on all 4 seconds, just two, about as well as the Sabres have done in the past.
"Jeramiah Crowe has done a wonderful job drafting.
If the Sabres could get two defensemen as good as Samuelsson or Peterka (obviously a player of his skills but a d-man) it could be very interesting"
If you take the time to read you may understand more.
Regardless, few second round picks play as many games as the players mentioned.
