Yep, the way I saw this, we were offering a discount, because they already paid full value on Chiarot.

I know there was no FCs in the Chiarot deal, but this is what I always assumed "Future Considerations" could be used as - "hey, we gave you a great package on that guy that didn't extend with us. help us out with this thing now"

They’re trading picks to improve their team, whether it’s to us or someone else. Naive to act like we’re the only team in the league.
Don’t get me wrong though, Monahan is getting dealt to the highest bidder, whoever that may be.
