I think calling that D "good" is a an exaggeration. That stable would be well down a ranking of defenses. The forward crew isn't bad, it mostly just lacks a real top line. So yeah, to answer your question, this looks like a lottery team for sure.

Oh this team is real bad. Dahlin is awesome but that only gets you so far.

Yeah, like I said no forwards that are top line contributors. The D is good, at least in my opinion, but that doesn't stop the fact that this team may not score 2 goals a game. The team would be terrible to play against though, very physical.
