You're short a 23' first rounder.

Dumo and kapanen dumps cost a 2nd.
Toews for a 1st.

Is Toews @ 5.25 worth that much less than ROR @ 3.75?

His offensive production has fallen and hes a UFA but ya, still worth a late 1st even at 5.25 maybe with any 1 year cap dump

His name alone will get a first rounder from a desperate gm

Probably has to be a 2024 1st Rd pick but that looks dangerous with him in the third spot, carter on his wing that's a nice lineup

His 5.25 means nothing for a playoff run.

I will agree with everything but this: I think Dumo has no value, but not negative value. He's regressed to the point that his cap hit is pretty bad for what he brings to the table, but he's been solid in a reduced role. He's effective as a depth DFD and a veteran with championship and leadership experience. No, he's not the player he once was, but I don't think his contract is so bad that it would take a 2nd to move him.

Trade still sucks for Chicago regardless.

Toews will get a 1st with salary retention. Some GMs are stoopid. It doesn't seem to matter that the guy they are getting isn't all that decent at playing anymore and is a piece of shart as a person. All they see are cup rings and an ok run of play lately. I'm hoping Toews goes to Boston so he can show Mitchell Miller how to be a piece of dung as an adult and not really showing any empathy.

I don't remember the entire situation, but from what I understand is that much of the 2010 Blackhawks players knew what was happening, not just the staff. That includes Kane and Toews, and Toews was the captain at the time.

Beech said players were ridiculing him, you think Toews was? Does feel like Kane would have. Toews didn't have nice words for Stan Bowman when he was fired. Kane did

Like I said, I don't know the entire situation, and I never mentioned ridiculing. What I mentioned is that a lot of the Blackhawks roster was apparently aware of the situation, and were complicit in keeping things quiet. I find it hard to believe that that much of the roster would know what happened, but not the team's captain. I find it hard to believe Toews didn't know in 2010. And if he did, he could have gone ot the media or the NHL and told them what was happening to Beach. He didn't.

No doubt the entire roster that spring knew.

the ridiculing was mentioned in the report that ensued... I believe.

the entire situation is such a shameful injustice, do you think there is any follow up to be done for punishment?

I think if there was going to be a follow up, it would've happened by now.
