Minnesota can't trade their 2023 1st. That would be one of the dumbest things they could do.

Absolutely not.

1) Faber was the primary piece acquired in the Fiala trade, and has evolved to become arguably the best true defenseman in the NCAA currently. He's expected to sign and join the team as soon as his college season with the Gophers is done.

So he's not available.

2) Boeser, currently, isn't worth a 1st. Let alone a A-level prospect back. He's gotten better of late sure. But his value still isn't that good. Especially from a team that cannot afford him beyond this year.

I think the only offer that Guerin would consider is Dumba for Boeser straight up.

I'd doubt it. That works this year, but I'd guess with Faber hopefully being an NHLer next year on an ELC they'll probably need to shuffle the money Dumba is making into Boldy's pay raise. Addison will need a raise as well, though not as much. It doesn't make a lot of sense to bring in a winger unless they're on an insanely cheap contract.

If they traded for Boeser, they would need to bridge Boldy at a lower AAV, QO and lowball Addison, and hope to god Rossi is ready for the show next year.
