Description

Following my last armchair Anaheim has traded Klingberg to Edmonton for Pulijarvi and an 1st. They'll resign him to a 1 year prove it contract.
I could them selecting 6th or 7th overall. At that spot I could see them taking either Sale or Yager.
In the offseason they also trade Comtois to Mtl for an 3rd round since they already have McTavish, Henrique, Vatrano and maybe Jones or Tracey at LW
Anaheim won't be really active on fa probably only depth players that bring a physical presence both at forward and defense.

I see no reason to ship Comtois off for what amounts to a bag of pucks.

Henrique will be gone during this (23-24) season if not at its end, leaving an opening at LW. We will also be moving McTavish to center, and likely strome to RW or 3rd line. We can dump Carrick if we need to make room.

I also think we are buyers in the off-season, we need one, maybe two top 4 defensive D (one for Fowler and one for Drysdale), a top line LW for Zegras Terry going forward, and tons of cap space.

No reason for EDM to trade for Klingberg as he's the antithesis of what they need. Barrie brings what he does and is having himself quite a strong season and, while Bouchard is struggling, I don't imagine they sit him for a rental. They'll be looking for a LD. Aside from that, a Dman like Klingberg isn't worth a 1st- particularly given his significant struggles.

Comtois out doesn’t make sense to me

Contracts look fine but I’d rather give Z an 8 year deal not a bridge

Lines are a yikes especially McTavish on the wing

If you're Anaheim GM of course you give Zegras an 8 year contract.
If you're Zegras agent you take a shorter contract.
He doesn't have huge offensive numbers yet because with Terry right now there's the two offensive force in Anaheim right now. His agent will wait that Anaheim surround Zegras better i order for Zegras to have more points and then receive big money.
