Because the rumour is Pettersson is the Canucks only untouchable, I figured Pionk could replace Hughes offensive production from the D spot and Hughes could be traded for a #1a type centre to replace Horvat. Lambert is a C / RW prospect, so he slots in however he’s needed in the future for the Canucks and depending on his development. Hate to include him, but the market will be hot for Horvat, so I figured this would make the trade realistic (to me at least).

Of course, the Jets only make this trade if the trade for Chychrun is accepted by the Coyotes.

For the Chychrun trade, Dillon is included to make the salaries work and the Coyotes can flip him at the deadline for more futures. Beyond that, Stanley and Lucius were both Jets’ 1st round draft picks and the Jets would also include their 1st round pick for the upcoming summer’s draft.

If these trades were to happen, I would want the Jets to do them ASAP since they could perhaps beat silly trade bids from other teams that may happen at the deadline and they would also help the Coyotes and likely the Canucks too in regards to improving the odds they may win the draft lottery for Bedard.

Imo, these moves would put the Jets right up there with Boston, Vegas, Colorado and any other of the top teams.

I hate to give up so much future, but the Jets window is this season and the next, Chychrun has term on his existing contract and moves like this could very well convince Hellebuyck, Scheifele and even Dubois to sign new contracts to stay with the Jets if they see the team as having championship potential for the next 5 years or so.

Canucks take that and run imho

The Jets don't do either. They're not moving that much for a rental and don't need another LD.

Chychrun is a left shot that often plays on the right side.
