How I could see the next year going

Description
2 things about this:

1) I don't inherently think this is a good outcome, just a plausible one
2) I think it'll be difficult to find an appropriate move for Provorov, that's definitely the biggest '?' here

Yeah, Canes pass. Hayes doesn't work in a defensive system, we know that. The Canes have the strongest defensive system in hockey. It's not a fit

I read this and asked myself which organization is the bigger mess? Philly or Vancouver?

Agree with you in finding the right move for Provorov. It would be tough. Although the return you have is alright, doesn't give you warm and fuzziness either.

JVR is going to get less than we think. I do not think he carries that much value.

I mean, he's pretty much a 20+ goal lock and has really played well dating back to AV being fired. I'm not expecting much, but I think a 3rd is fair

As long as they can get a 2023 1st somehow in the return I don't care too much for what they get for him. That pick is super important IMO and I can't see a future for him here anymore, time to pull the plug.

A fair point, but I'm not sure you'll find an overall better Center fit at that price point anywhere on the market. The circumstances for him being moved like this are somewhat rare

No need when they can just take a run at ROR this summer, who is a far better fit and allows the Canes to retain Suzuki and the pick.

Philly is headed towards a rebuild, There's zero chance i see Bo Horvat signing there. And paying him 7 x $9,250,000 is absolutely ludicrous.

Time to pull the plug on a few of these guys. Philly has been spinning wheels, as yet again, ownership pushes to win at all costs. That generally doesn't end well when your team isn't set up well.

Last time it seemed Philly has direction was with Hextall doing things. His body of work in Philly was quite good. And had ownership exercised more patience, I firmly beleive Hextall would have had this team set up long term.

Just my opinion, by no means a Flyers fan. But, as a hockey fan, Philly is painful.
