Salary Cap Mode: Basic

- Kulikov has pretty brutal advanced stats this year after being solid analytically for years. I’m gonna attribute it to playing top pair minutes on a very bad Ducks team. Kulikov kills penalties and will be a massive 5v5 upgrade over Harpur for this team. 3rd round pick seems like a fair trade for both sides

- The Tarasenko trade is similar to the Copp trade. Ok center prospect, 2nd round pick, conditional 2nd that can turn into a 1st. Tarasenko is gonna be out for a month and we require no salary retention so I’d rather the 2 turn into a 1 if we make the SCF and not just the ECF.

- The Bonino trade is to solidify a shutdown 4th line and help the team with Faceoffs. Bonino has solid underlying numbers on a very bad Sharks team and checks a lot of boxes (PK, can slide up and down the lineup, etc.) as much as I like Gauthier I feel really good with him as the 13F

- The Hajek / Blais trades are to regain some draft capital for 2024. Both sunk costs from horrific trades

- I think I added enough pieces to get us over the hill without gutting draft capital. Our prospect pool is very thin due to the graduations the past few years. I’m very adamant about keeping both 2023 1st round picks but if I gotta give up the worse of the two and we’re in the SCF I’m happy
