Without question. Two Firsts and 2 solid prospects (one forward and one D) would be a great return. Sharks would probably need to take a contract back though.

I don't think NYI does this though. I think the only way they would get two first is if the 2023 is a Second has a condition to upgrade to a First if they make the ECF or something. If they end up just missing the playoffs, or don't have a deep run, then this would be a huge loss for them. Even then, that's a big return.

Edit: I think Merkley would be included as well. NYI has a great blueline but no pure offensive d-men.

Good to see someone have Timo's AAV at a realistic number. It may go down a bit just because the cap isn't going up as much so maybe closer to 8.5. Or 8 on the low end.

think taking back a short term cap dump (expires before the 24/25 season) would be fine.
Merkley added should be no problem.
8.5-9 is reasonable especially with the cap expected to be up to 84 next year then 89 for 24/25 and 92+ in 25/26.
Add Bailey keep the 2nd and we will give you Merkley. Done deal.

holy moly that's too much for meier, bare minimum bailey needs to be in that deal without the extra 2nd rounder. why wouldn't they also just keep aho? a 5th isn't really good value considering how good he's been this year
