SJS would likely ask for Raty in a Meier trade.

I get the want for Raty but I'd take that as the Sharks: 2 prospects, a first + a second, and a roster player with a decent track record who has hit a bit of a slump. Don't know if the Isles would be as willing though

If you have seen Raty play at any level then you should know that’s an unreasonable ask. Kid is special.

A top prospect for a 35 goal scoring PPG power forward who’s also an RFA at the end of this season?

Not an unreasonable ask in the slightest. Meier will require you to cough up your top prospect.

What did Chicago get for DeBrincat again? Temper your expectations.

There is a difference between a draft day deal and a TDL deal. This trade proposed won’t even get you a sniff of meier.

I agree, this to me is fair and possibly the best return we probably get for Meier. I like Dufour and Bolduc and both fill team needs while also providing us 2 decent picks to further add to your prospect depth. Losing Meier will Hirt but this sets us up better for the future.

Agreed. I’m not happy about moving Dufour or Bolduc, but I have to be realistic.

It wouldn’t shock me if Lou offered two firsts instead. He hasn’t really traded prospects during his tenure in Ny.

Sharks fans have to understand most teams won’t part with their #1 prospect, and the track record for that blowing up in the teams face is substantiated over and over. we only have to look at our trade for Karlsson as a reminder (still missing Norris)
this is a reasonable ask and offer for both teams.

He also hasn’t faded for a player of Meier’s caliber either! the prospects and picks would have to be dealt otherwise SJS would want 2 1sts and 2 2nds

I’m not even sure Lou wants to make a trade. I think he’s just waiting to find a way to offload vets so he can call up guys full time.

Agreed. I’m just not sure how teams value first round picks in this draft.

I'd say swap the 2nds in your two deals so the Hawks get the 2023 2nd and they probably accept.

Known 7OA and 39OA and 3rd rnd in 24', which is way more quality than what is being offered in this ACGM

Would you do it if we took out both dmen (merkley and bolduc) I am firmly not on the Ryan merkley train

Frank sarvelli has reported Timo value is significantly lower than debrincat so I doubt SJ considers another team outside the east. They play us maybe twice a year and they get picks prospects and a roster player that can be flipped for more draft capitol it’s a layup for SJ

Then SJ has to take Bailey at full salary
    2023 & 2024 1st + bailey that’s it

Solid young controllable cheap mayfield replacement who has significant offensive upside we can get the most out of him and flip for a profit if he doesn’t work out it’s a win win for both sides SJ will probably not even tender him an offer and let him walk ufa if they don’t trade him

He is certainly not a mayfield replacement. He’s worse than Barrie defensively and has attitude issues
