Tarasenko is likely a pure rental. The team has a lot of UFA/RFA decisions to make but this would allow enough Cap Space to re-activate Carlson prior to the playoffs if he is medically cleared.

This ain't it. Mantha being signed next season is a big drawback to the offer.

Mantha doesn't fit. And I'd doubt a 2nd is enough for Tarasenko. I don't think the Blues are going to be looking to fill that position with another contract from out side the organization prior to JULY 1.
