Description

I do not love Mantha but he should 100% be playing over Eller but Lavi won't do it so here's what I'm coming up with. This gives Johnny an Elite D partner to play with when he gets back healthy and his cheap contract is good assuming we dont keep Orlov or Gustafsson

Would love to get him and think he’s worth that if it’s enough. I do think we would need to add a top 6 winger too tho

I love Mantha, he simply doesn't get the TOI he deserves. BUT if Caps were to trade him I wouldn't mind this. Issue is why would ARI do this? No way Mantha re-signs there so they probably don't want him for 1 year.

They take him to help balance salary and rehab him for a year before flipping again, kind of like they did with Ghostisbehere. I think the issue is that they would want one more piece. From last 32 thoughts podcast Friedman said asking price is two first round equivalents plus something else significant. There's a 1st + McMichael here, but I don't think Mantha is the something else ARI is looking for. Maybe add Chesley or Iorio?
