Chychrun trade is atrocious!

Getting a top pairing Dman under contract at only 4 mill is going to cost.

This doesn't even make them better. Sandin is good and costs nothing to obtain.

He isn't a top pairing defenceman.

Sandin-Liligren has been a very good pairing. Once Gio and Holl are gone thats the leafs 2nd pairing going forward.

Sandin is not even half the defenseman Chychrun is. Maybe one day he’ll become half as good though.

Sandin plays the most sheltered minutes in the NHL. Chychrun is way way better on offense and defense. It’s crazy people think sandin is even close to as good right now. He is still young but he’s not there yet.

Im not trolling, you know it’s true. You have no confidence going into these playoffs. Abbruzzese will be lucky to become a middle 6 forward. Those 1sts will be used at the deadline anyway (this year and next) and even if they do keep them, a late first is lucky to become a bottom 6 player or bottom pairing D. Sandin is a good young defenseman, but he’ll never be on Chychrun’s level. It’s completely worth it.

When it comes to comparables on the LEafs it isnt Sandin that CHychrun should be compared to.. its Holl. Holl is the guy playing top 4 minutes.. and in that regard Chychrun is a huge upgrade.
