Idk that Meier is the right guy to target
Good player obviously, but he might cost even more than your proposal- plus he’s gonna need a new expensive contract

Might be better off saving the assets & looking into UFAs in the summer

What about Dahlin and Power, ain't leaving yourself much wiggle room. Those 2 alone could be another 14 to 16m towards the Cap.

I honestly think Kulich is gonna be a star in the league and wouldn't trade him.

Yeah he was great in the worlds. Something like him would get SJ to pull the trigger. They're probably not trading Meier without a top prospect coming back

I'd add Merkley to this as a Sharks fan. Kulich looks awesome and is having a decent production in the AHL as an 18 year old. I think a lot of Sharks fans may say this isn't a big enough return but I'd be happy with this. Would help our AHL team too.

Honestly, you can take Asplund out completely. No need for him at all. If there's a decent young 2-way RHD that you have in the AHL, the sharks need that.
