Hughes starts with Nemec, Mercer and a first. Man’s the best defenseman in Canuck’s franchise history. Kuzmenko will also cost a first plus a good prospect or player like Zetterlund.

Canucks decline. As always, when trading a star player, Quality >>>>> Quantity.

Devils would hang up and screen their calls from now on.
That trade would be worse then the one suggested above but not by much because they both suck

The trade above makes your fanbase look silly. Direct quote from Elliotte Friedman "it would take an "absolutely mammoth offer" to trade Quinn Hughes." The above trade is not a "mammoth" its more of a small dog. Hughes is a top 5 offensive defenseman in the league.

Compared to the f*cking clown show that your organization is I'll take that as both a compliment and a cry for help

NJ, besides having his brothers, really just isn’t the right trade partner for Quinn. Two of our top prospects have been comped to him, so there’s no point in NJ moving assets that could very well just be Quinn Hughes level players on their ELCs. Not to mention the already solidified top pairing in NJ with two top 20 defenseman. There are better fits where the cost is much more justifiable out there than the Devils

Two top-10 prospects, three more top-100 prospects, a top-4 RHD, a staring goalie, and 1st and 2nd round picks is a “small dog”.

lol

It would be the largest haul in a single trade in over 30 years. For a piece we dont need.

I tend to differ... i think both hughes luke/quinn and marino would solidify our defense for years to come offensively. Hamilton, siegenthaler and nemec provide the defensive edge. Giving us the devils the best six in the history of the league... cal foote would sign on to stay with his brother at the end of the year... to be our seventh. Severson and graves both need to go at the trade deadline.... unless they sign siegenthaler type extensions as he is better than both of them

Offensive dmen: Hughes, Hughes, Hamilton, Nemec
Defensive dmen: Siegenthaler, Marino

I prefer more balanced blueline.

Besides, they price is way too high here.

I think our depth will be solid. We are better off keeping....

Siegenthaler -- Hamilton
Graves -- Marino
Smith -- Severson
Hughes -- Mukhamadullin
Okhotiuk -- Nemec
Bahl -- Casey
Vilen -- Walsh
Edwards -- McCarthy
Orlov -- Hurtig
Vukojevich -- Leddy
-- Barabosha

...and keeping Holtz, Gritsyuk, our picks
