Canucks pass, Canucks aren't really looking to trade Kuzmenko, nor would want cap coming back the other way without a sweetener, Schenn gets more on his own than a throw in on this trade

Starts with Lysell or Carlo. Canucks have zero interest in picks and would probably like to re-sign Kuzmenko. Gonna take a lot more than a cap dump in a slump and some late picks for Kuzmenko AND Schenn. Might as well gift you the cup again.

Seems like the Canucks are shifting their focus to re-signing Kuzmenko. A near point per game winger at less than 1 million dollars won't come cheap if you want to trade for him

No use for the Vancouver trade. More concerning though is what are those lines?

Then why isn’t he extended?

I am sure they have already been going for a week, contracts take time to come on an agreement too, I am sure it will be done before the TDL

When both sides are motivated, contracts come together super quickly. This is a very simple one.

However, i will say, i do love the fundamental principles of this canucks team, one that the fanbase has seemingly adopted: “See this terrible team? First off, their not that terrible, they only look like they’re terrible but they’re not…for some reason. Anyhow, we’re going to move heaven and earth to keep everyone on that terrible team on the team! Surely it will work.”

I mean i couldn't tell you how far off they are right now, I am just saying what the team is saying which is they would like to get a deal done with him, as for keeping Kuzmenko he's been a great fit with us, he is far from the teams issue, as for asking high prices in our trade chips i mean yeah, Horvat is already at 30 goals before the all star break, who is a good reputation around the league, who will have a low cap hit at 50% retained, why wouldn't the price be high? also I wouldn't say trading your captain is keeping the team together.

I would not trade Lysell OR Carlo 1 for 1 for Kuz. If VAN hangs onto him-fine, but he isn't as proven as many Canucks fans think he is.
