He isn't cracking the NHL roster. He is a Left Defenseman. They already have Heiskanen, Lindell and Suter. Maybe they trade Suter, but, who knows

Don’t think the devils would have any interest in Gurianov. They have way to many young guys ready to push for bottom 6 minutes, he would just block a spot. The Devils are only looking for a top of the line winger

Harley is waivers exempt, he can develop nicely in the AHL until the team decide to move on from Suter. Harley is only 21 yo

Still doesn't change the fact that he's a top defensive prospect in the Stars system. I've been a proponent of trying to trade Harley, due to the fact that he is buried on the depth chart, but I want equal value for him. I'm not selling him for pennies on the dollar like the trade above.

21 yo is still young for a dman, even if he is NHL ready, it's better keeping him down there then trading him. Especially when he will replace Suter sooner than later and maybe Lindell in a couple years
