A low pick going to Toronto in hawks deal
McCabe 2 more years 600k more than sandin who's a better fit than sandin in the leafs top 4. I just like kurashev here.

May be stretching lacombe. I just like him that's all maybe more retention on Henrique instead?

Leafs need a 3C. Kampf 4th line Is ideal for playoffs. Holmberg isn't a great Center right now but will move there a some point later doen the years. Can always put Henrique to 2LW and put jarnkrok down and move a center to 3C

I rather do any d trade in the offseason tbh. Maybe niemela instead as he's our top Rd prospect? If the hawks trade McCabe it won't fetch a high pick as the teams who wanting is probably gonna be 25th overall or higher. Just means we would use sandin in a different trade then. Or could be a 3 team trade sending sandin elsewhere and a pick going to Chicago but then that's a headache to talk about here

High pick meaning a 1st or 2nd, not where it falls in the round.

Why are you so ready to give him up. Or just like the package. Hes good

The package has a 23 1st, that's what we're holding out for if we were to do a deal like this. Timmins fills a need, Robo is a reclamation project of interest (mostly seeing if we can bulk him up enough to stay healthy).

We've been going back and forth with COL and NJ fans about moving Rico 50% retained and the thing we're dead set on is that if we did it, we need a 1st coming back.

It's not that we're ready to give up on him or ship him out of town, he's been great for us, rather the package is attractive enough to do it when we know he's not a part of our long term future.

Along with my Anaheim brethren, I would accept that offer for Henrique. And to answer your question about why we're giving him up, it's because (1) we're one of the three worst teams in the league, and he'll be retirement age before we compete again, so we need what he can bring us in the way of futures, and (2) we'd like to see Henrique raise the Cup before he retires. We owe him that.

It's because there's a general feeling that he isn't going to sign with us.
