Van doesn’t want to trade Demko. Would like Levi or Laukkanen back

Demko's value isn't particularly high at this point - I think teams are a bit wary and would like to see him back in action standing on his head before trading for him.. it's risky otherwise. That said, the Sabres would probably not take that gamble at this point, I think! I wouldn't be confident enough to trade Levi anyway..

Also, to your point, maybe the Canucks should wait and see on Demko anyway.

demko's value isn't very high right now. which is another reason he's not for sale. there is no scenario on the planet where Van trades demko for his current value.

edit: you posted the same thing at the same time

There's always the chance that Demko can be the guy they signed him to be. Definitely can be patient, this isn't the year to trade the guy.

That's a no from buffalo. They currently have 3 goalies on the roster, and a high end prospect in Levi. UPL also appears to be a legit starter for Buff right now, and because of that I don't see them moving all that capital for a goalie.

you'll need one of their top goalie prospects and take out one of the second and that will go through

Uh, no…BUF has no need for Demko. The only G prospect being moved is Portillo, and they are not trading a ‘23 first for anything close to this. Schenn at the deadline for 2nd maybe, but that is it.
