Yeah can't see that getting it done, I would think Rosen Ostlund or maybe Quinn or JJ would need to be included.

Not sure why fans think that the Sharks are going to trade a 26 year old bonafide top end top line scorer and not get assets that allow them to begin their rebuild ASAP. If you want Meier, you better have a 2023 1st round pick included in the package.

Agree. Probably comes with top 3 protection but nothing more (protection).
Then add on at least a bona-fide prospect.
And some smaller pieces depending on the prospect.

Do you think sharks take a collection of picks and a roster player back?
2023 1st top 3 protected
2024 1st top 3 protected
And then a roster player?

As a sabres fan i get that thinking as we have gone through it forever. But the cap sitiuation for him is going to drop value a touch. The offer on this post isnt even close and we would include one of our A prospects plus victor or mitts for starters. 1st as well

youre looking at Debrincat value or less considering his qualifying cap number. If you want Savoie, then you'll get a 2nd and a 3rd, not another 1st in a loaded draft

Well I would be highly surprised if Savoie was included, they like him alot. There's plenty in the Sabres caufer other than Savoie that can get this deal done.

If looking at quality of draft picks, no. And we should be doing everything possible to avoid sending our 2023 1st Rd Pick. We also seem to like Ostlund and Kulich too much to send. Debrincat trade was # 7 OA - close to Savoie value. We seem to be set at centre w/ Thompson, Cozens, Krebs. I would be highly surprised in general if we traded for Meier as price is too high to acquire and price is too high in terms of his qualifying offer for next contract

Don't think they would have a problem using Ostlund or Rosen in a Timo trade. And if the Sabres keep moving up the Standings the 1st should be in play.

My point is Ostlund or Rosen would NOT get it done. Unless you want to include BOTH or another equal tier prospect

Might not, but are 1st and Ostlund is a good starting point, and another younger player say Mitts isn't a bad offer. Even if we added another prospect Kisakov isn't gonna hurt are prospect pool. I don't see this trade happening, but the Sabres could make this trade and it would only put a scratch in are pool.
