Why not? It fills a hole for both teams. MIN needs a top 6 forward and Florida desperatly need someone who can play defense better than Montour, Forsling, Gudas and Staal.

You have not watched Florida all year. Dumba is very overrated

Don't need to watch every Panthers game to know that they are 5th in the Atlantic (Buffalo has 2 more points with 3 games in hand) and 11th in the East. If they're that far off from a playoffs spot, maybe it's because of their 182 goals allowed, which is 26th overall. But yeah, Florida doesn't need tu upgrade it's defense, Forsling and Montour will carry this team. I'll laugh really hard when Montreal draft top 10 with the pick you traded for 20 regular season games and 10 playoffs games of Ben Chiarot who walked out last summer.

Dumba ain’t gonna make them much better with his great defensive play. Yeah he’s better and will make them a little better but now you get rid of a player who’s over a ppg since game 20 when he had like 6 points in that time frame. This trade is bad for Florida, a very good winger for a below average over paid d man. Plus I highly doubt it’s top 10. I see them barely sneaking in but if not it’s cause they are 2 points out.
