Description

Signing Brassard and Schenn gives some leadership, experience and depth to the club, easing the need to bring up AHL’ers letting them develop as they should. Don’t think we could convince Gaudreau at that price, but I’d send in the offer, bonify it at an extra million if need be, but two years for now.

All of these moves are temp help for the younger players, leaving room to have enough cap space in the upcoming years.

dvorak as a way better value then that, same for edmunson. they're minimun worth a good second round pick each. But hoffman's contract will make him unmoveable. the best way to get rid of him will be to buy him out.

Luke Schenn is having a great year. Next year he'll probably either stay in Vancouver or join a contender for 2-3 million.

We were being told at the beginning of the season that Devo was worth a 1st and is a real-deal 2C. A 7th is definitely low but maybe paired with a 3rd or a B prospect and they could be rid of the contract to someone that needs a 3C and has the space to take it on.

Would love to get more for both, but in Dvorak’s case his contract is the issue. Maybe they can get way more and I hope so, but if there isn’t that traction, give up.. trade him out for nothing and take the cap space off the books for the upcoming years when you’ll need it in a year or two.
